Friendship Love When I hear the word “love” I don’t always think of boys. I think of relationships. Not boyfriend and girlfriend type of relationships, but a friend relationship. I have a best friend who’s older and very wise. They’ve helped me throughout my entire life deal with my ups and downs. I don’t know what I would do without them. Some people say, “love sucks” because they don’t have a boyfriend, wife, husband, or girlfriend. Having love doesn’t mean you have to have a boyfriend, girlfriend, etc. It means to have someone special in your life that you truly care about or someone that’s there through thick and thin. My best friend helps me in my hard situations, they’re always there for me, and they give me the best advice. You can love someone in many different ways. I know that it doesn’t matter if I ever have a boyfriend/husband, because my best friend will always be there for me. In the past, I’ve had lots of boyfriend problems. There was one particular break up that was very hard to deal with. After that break up, my best friend helped me cope with things, stayed by my side when I would cry and hold my hand when I was scared of losing “the boy” forever. Most of all, my best friend helped me to become a better and stronger person. I wouldn’t be here now if it wasn’t for them. That break up was horrible and I didn’t know what I was going to do at the time. I would go and talk to my best friend every night after school and they would actually listen and could understand what I was going through. They had been through it all. Some people don’t have what I have. A best friend who you know will be there for you forever. Looking back now, I realize that everything my best friend said and all the advice they gave me was true. It feels nice to love someone and be loved back. It’s not the intimate kind of love, but the friendship kind of love. That’s the best type of love there is. They wont break your heart, they wont lie to you and they will always be there for you. Best friends hold a special place in my heart. No matter what I do or say, I know they will always be the one I can go to. It doesn’t matter if a silly boy doesn’t like me, love me, or care about me because I always have the thought that my best friend will be there for me no matter what the deal is. I thought I would share this with you because I wanted to write about someone special in my life. Throughout this, the best friend that I kept mentioning is someone closer to me than anyone else. She’s in my heart forever. My best friend is my mom and she always will be.
